A guided journey into the future
Imagine
the water back.
Your mind is more than 70% water, and at its center lives your power to imagine. We use it to travel to a Los Angeles that returned the water to Payahuunadü, the place where it always flows. Step in, and bring it back with you.

Rehearsed reality
Close your eyes for a moment, and step in.
Your bare feet sink into moisture-rich soil. You meet the horizon and read a sign: Public Paradise. Share water, share land, share life. The valley below has never lost a drop. You kneel at a spring, fill both hands, and drink it like a blessing.
A belief is just a thought we keep thinking. So we rehearse this one until it is real.
How we got here
The water was rerouted a century ago. The return has already begun.
Over a hundred years ago the waters were rerouted from Payahuunadü, the place where the water always flows, to Los Angeles. A valley of springs was silenced. The second largest lake in California was drained. The people of the water were displaced and disregarded. This is a grief to feel.
The harm was caused by greed, not need. A worldview of relationship and stewardship was replaced by one of control and possession. And not all has been lost. There have always been protectors who carried memory.
This is not a water war. It is a water reunion.
Nothing belongs to us. We belong to the places, to the water, to each other. You are not joining a department. You are returning to a responsibility older than any water agreement, a reunion with the waters, inside and out.
Closer to home
This is not only about a distant valley.
When the Palisades burned, the hydrants ran dry. The city’s water, gathered into one system and held under pressure, could not meet the moment. The homes that came through were often the ones that held their own water. A pool. A tank. A line that did not depend on the city.
It is the same lesson, read from the other end. Water that is concentrated and controlled is brittle. Water that is shared, spread, and held close is resilient. The logic that drained Payahuunadü is the logic that left the hydrants empty.
Giving the water back to the valley and giving water back to Angelenos are the same movement: abundance shared, not scarcity hoarded. This was never about need. It was about greed. And it can change.
What you receive

The Rehearsed Reality Meditation
A guided journey with water trickling beneath it that walks you into the valley that never lost a drop, until the future is something you feel in your body, not just hope for.
Your brain and body are mostly water, and imagination lives at its center. The journey moves through that water, clearing what no longer serves and letting a new reality settle into your cells. This is make belief: you do not picture the future, you become someone who carries it.
The living guide
The Best Practices Handbook
A field guide to the values we follow, from Water is Life to We Begin Within, with grounded ways to relate to water, to the land, and to one another.
It gives language to what you already feel, a way to act instead of ache, and a place in a community building this together. You stop carrying the grief alone.
This is for you if
- You carry water in your body and you feel the call to protect it.
- You sense the grief of extraction and you are ready to move from blame to care.
- You want to do something real, and you want to know where to begin.
- You believe imagination is a tool, that make believe can make different beliefs.
- You would rather be part of the repair than a spectator to the harm.
Every human being is a raindrop. And when enough of the raindrops become clear and coherent they then become the power of the storm.
